Education

The major focus of the Education Committee is to work collaboratively with other agencies and organizations in North Carolina to advance the knowledge of perinatal professionals in our state. Educational focus areas include both obstetrical and neonatal topics of interest to providers caring for patients and families in both the community and hospital setting.

NCPA sponsors a number of educational offerings throughout the year. In conjunction with perinatal outreach coordinators, educational programs are offered in each of the six Perinatal regions. NCPA continues to have a strong partnership with the South Carolina Perinatal Association. Each year, the two perinatal associations sponsor the Perinatal Partnership Conference, which brings in national as well as regional experts to share evidence-based information related to a variety of perinatal topics. The Education Committee welcomes members of NCPA to participate in the planning of the annual Perinatal Partnership Conference.
